ComfyPanel v1.8.0 Release: Expanding Event-Driven Control Across Three Dynamic Viewports

ComfyPanel v1.8.0 Release: Expanding Event-Driven Control Across Three Dynamic Viewports

Since Version 1.0, ComfyPanel has stood apart from standard API wrappers and static UI shells by being built upon a true Event-Driven Mirroring architecture. By establishing the active ComfyUI instance as the Single Source of Truth, ComfyPanel delivers real-time, bidirectional state synchronization directly inside Adobe Photoshop.

With the release of v1.8.0, we are taking this architecture a step further by expanding our core mirror engine into a flexible, Multi-Viewport Control Hub.

Three Viewports, One Unified State Engine

Building on our native event-bus integration, ComfyPanel v1.8.0 allows creators to seamlessly interface with their live ComfyUI instance across three distinct viewports—without ever losing state consistency:

  • Form View (Native UXP Panel): Maps active canvas parameters into clean, native Photoshop controls. Tweak and run your workflow like a traditional PS filter without node clutter.
  • Monitor View (Embedded Live Viewport): Toggles a fully interactive <webview> canvas directly inside Photoshop. Tweak parameters, reconnect nodes, and manage groups right beside your artwork with zero window switching.
  • Pro View (System Browser): Leverages a full, detached system browser environment optimized for heavy graph construction and multi-monitor setups.

Uncompromised State Integrity

Because every viewport hooks into the same underlying Event Bus rather than sending stateless background requests, triggering "Run" or toggling a group from any mode executes native frontend logic. Custom node behaviors, Vue patches, and pre-run hooks remain completely intact regardless of which view you choose to control.
